755 ILCS 5/11a-12(e)

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, ANY GUARDIAN OF A DISABLED PERSON SHALL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE AN ON-LINE TRAINING AND PROVIDE A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION WITHIN ONE YEAR OF THE DATE OF ISSUANCE OF LETTERS OF GUARDIANSHIP. THE ON-LINE TRAINING PROGRAM CAN BE FOUND AT:

After entering the above-site, click on "Guardianship Training" in the column on the right side of the page.  This will take you to the page to register for and to complete the training. Upon completion of the training, print the certificate and file it with the Kendall County Circuit Clerk.

IF YOU FAIL TO COMPLETE THE TRAINING AND PROVIDE A COPY OF THE CERTIFICATE TO THE COURT WITHIN ONE YEAR OF THE DATE OF ISSUANCE OF LETTERS OF GUARDIANSHIP, THE COURT MAY TERMINATE THE GUARDIANSHIP.
